The 2007 Comcast / Ringside National Jr. Summer Boxing Classic Tournament will be held on Thursday - Friday - Saturday, June 21, 22, 23, 2007 in Augusta, Georgia. Registration for the event is Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at the Hotel Headquarters from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. The Host Hotel is Clarion Suites Inn located at 3038 Washington Road,(Weighins /physicals are at the Clarion Hotel each day of competition at 7AM,) Augusta, Georgia 30907. The telephone number is (706) 868-1800. Hotel rates are $75.00 (quad—includes free breakfast). Boys between the ages of 9 - 14 can compete for Championship Belts for All Contested Matches. There will be three age groups (9 -10) (11 - 12) (13-14) for the boxers. No belts to given to boxers in unopposed matches.
There will also be Non-Tournament Matches in which medals will be awarded. The non-tournament will include - Girls - Age 9 - 16 and Boys - Age 15 - 16.
The event is hosted by The Augusta Recreation and Parks Department.
